Plaid & Stripes? I Think Yes!
I loved my pair of H&M wide leg jeans so with a little help from @alexander_the_tailor I was able to pull the pattern from them without damaging the pants. Matching plaid is never easy but totally worth it for this amazing fabric from @melanatedfabricsco You know I like a POP so I threw in a little stripe down the side from my trims collection.
Sewing this pair was pretty similar to the usual pants I make except, I used Alex’s special method for closing the front fly and it worked perfectly and was so quick! I also got to familiarize myself with the bartack machine for the belt loops and the blindstitch machine for the hem. I finished off this project with some keyhole buttonholes on the #juki #meb3200.
It’s the end of 2022 and whoa, did that go by fast. What an absolute rollercoaster of a year. I started @SewnAdaptive with @alexander_the_tailor and fell in love with so many beautiful people from the #runwayofdreams show that completely changed my life. My Instagram account also got hacked and I fought to get it back for months but couldn’t have done without everyone who helped me report it. I am just feeling SO grateful.
I am so excited to share all my fun trims with you!!! 2023 is looking all trims so stay tuned!
